I need the state council of nc so that I can finish my project'

Hi,

North Carolina has numerous people who have become very well-known for their contributions, from Colonial times to the present day -- and some are even considered "famous"!

You might want to visit the NCpedia page for biographies by profession to help you get started by selecting individual professions.  Here the link http://ncpedia.org/biographies/profession.  You can also access the same page from the "Biography & People" pull-down menu at the top of the page.

Good luck with your project!

Dear Cindy,

Thank you for visiting NCpedia and taking a minute to ask your question.

We do not have any specific information that might help you with this question since we focus primarily on North Carolina history and historical collections.  You may want to contact your public library for help locating information to help with this.  If this question relates to genealogy, you may also want to consider contacting libraries with genealogy collections in the states where you believe he lived.

I hope this helps.

Best wishes,

Kelly Agan

Dear Don,

Thanks for visiting NCpedia and taking a minute to share your connection to North Carolina history and ask your question.

Unfortunately, we do not have any information on Levi Wade in NCpedia. If you're interested in researching your family or local Cumberland County history, here are a few places to help you get started.

The Government & Heritage Library here at the State Library of North Carolina has county history and genealogical collections.  You may contact our research librarians by telephone, email, or by coming to the library in Raleigh in person.  You'll find our contact information at this link http://statelibrary.ncdcr.gov/contact.html.  The Cumberland County Public Library has local, state, and genealogical collections. You may contact them by telephone or email or by visiting them in person as well. Their contact information can be found at http://www.cumberland.lib.nc.us/ccplsite/content/local-state-history.

Thanks for visiting NCpedia and good luck with your research!

Re the information I sent yesterday, 5/25/13, regarding a set of Histories of Regiments and Battalions from NC in the Great Civil War of 1861 - 65. On the inside of the cover of Vol. IV, there is a name ... Chas. M. Stedman. Perhaps this may help in the identification of this five volume set. Thank you for any information you may have about these books.
