Everittsvilleformer community near Dudley in S Wayne County. Prior to the Civil War, a group of plantation owners built homes together there and went out daily to tend their nearby plantations. There were schools and churches and in 1851 a post office, but no stores or other businesses. Named for Joseph Everitt, early settler. Only a cemetery remains to mark the site.
