Eno River	rises in N Orange County and flows SE across the county into W Durham County, where it flows E and joins Flat River in forming the Neuse River. Appears on the Moseley map, 1733. The name probably is from the Tuscarora Indian word e-eno (a great way; far off).
Eno Township	E central Orange County.
Enoch Canal	E Washington County, extends NE from Lake Phelps to Mall Creek.
Enoch Mill Creek	rises in S Sampson County and flows SE into Black River.
Enochville	town in SW Rowan County. Inc. 1877. Named for St. Enoch's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Long inactive in municipal affairs. Served by post office, 1877-1902.
Enola	community in S Burke County. Name is "alone" spelled backwards.
Enon	community in E Yadkin County between Logan Creek and Yadkin River.
Enon Mountain	in E Transylvania County W of Lydia Creek.
Enos Plotts Balsam Mountain	W Haywood County about 5 mi. W of Waynesville. Alt. 6,097. Known by the Cherokee Indians as Sunneehaw. See also Plott Balsam.
