Button Branch	rises in NW Columbus County and flows SW into Dunn Swamp.
Buxton	community on Hatteras Island, SE Dare County. One of the most thickly populated sections of the Outer Banks. Formerly known as The Cape (for Cape Hatteras), but the post office was changed to Buxton, 1882. Named for Judge Ralph P. Buxton (1826-1900).
Buxton	plantation house in S Warren County S of the community of Inez; home of John Buxton Williams, a local planter. The house, built in 1850, is still standing.

Buzzard Bay	an inlet of the Cape Fear River and the Atlantic Ocean (through Corncake Inlet) in the N part of Smith Island, Brunswick County.
