Harrells	town largely in SE Sampson County, although a small area of the inc. limits lies in SW Duplin County. Appears as Harrells Store on the Morse-Breese map, 1843. Inc. 1943 as Harrells Store; name changed to Harrells, 1955. Alt. 88.
Harrells Bay	swamp in SW Duplin County.
Harrells Quarter	community in SE Bertie County.
Harrellsville	town in SE Hertford County on Wiccacon River. Inc. 1883. Post office est. there in 1827 as Bethel. Name changed to Harrellsville in 1847 to honor Abner Harrell.
Harrellsville Township	SE Hertford County.
Harrelson Branch	rises in N Duplin County and flows E into Northeast Cape Fear River.
Harrelsonville	community in central Columbus County.
Harricane	community in N Wake County. For many years the area was notorious for its distillers. The name came from a hurricane that struck the section in 1805, causing extensive damage.
Harrington	community in W Harnett County. Cornwallis camped there en route to Wilmington following the Battle of Guilford Courthouse. A post office was est. there, 1855. John McLean Harrington edited and published a handwritten newspaper there, 1858-60.
