town in NW Gaston County. Inc. 1925 by three Dellinger brothers who operated a large chicken farm at the site. They wanted better protection from stray dogs than was provided by the county. By incorporating their farm as a town, they could enact and enforce a town ordinance against stray dogs. About 1930 fire destroyed the chicken business, and by 1967 only a single member of the family was living in the "town." |
