Classroom wide shot

Using Perspectives in High School
Hoke County High School biology teacher Carrie Brewington begins class with a bell-ringer activity she calls the “who cares?” challenge. The challenge asks students to brainstorm what they already know about a topic as it relates to various professions. Having students approach a topic from the perspective of a real-world professional helps make an abstract curriculum objective concrete and engaging.
