This is what I wrote to my governor. Maybe you should too.
How much money is spent for animal shelters? Why aren't there laws to prevent the over population of dogs, cats, horses, etc.? Wouldn't that save 10s of thousands of dollars or more?? Such an easy fix. California did it! Just ban sales of unlicensed breeders and require all animals to be licensed with proof of spay or neuter! Government money not only can be saved but increased! Look at social media and what the public is saying! Look at the shelters and rescues begging for help finding homes for the millions of homeless animals! Look at abuse and neglect because these animals have no value. PLEASE change their future from being destroyed to having a loving home. Their lives matter.
