God's Acre, Winston-Salem

In Old Salem, North Carolina, grave markers lie in neat rows in a Moravian cemetery. In accordance with Moravian tradition, the cemetery is known as "God's Acre," and the dead are divided by gender, marital status, and age. Some of the gravestones in this cemetery date back to the 18th century.
