A Rough Calculation of the Expense of a Mansion House, Tryon Palace

This is an image of John Hawks' itemization of the cost of creating the Governor's Palace at New Bern, 1767.  The papers shows the costs of the building and grounds for the mansion site. The mansion, also called the "Governors' Palace", was commissioned for Governor William Tryon, as its first resident. John Hawks was the architect of the mansion.
