Khumbu glacier

The Khumbu glacier is situated between Mount Everest and the Lhotse-Nuptse Ridge. It is seen flowing down between the two mountains and swerving right through the Khumbu valley. The terrain is gray and rocky. Yellow tents of mountain climbers in the Everest Base Camp can barely be seen in the middle left side of the picture. The size of the glacier dwarfs the camp.
