Late-day moon over Manzanillo, Mexico

The moon can be seen through dusky skies over white block buildings. The building on the right has a traditional red-tile roof.Manzanillo is a large seaport town on Mexico's west coast. It was founded early after the Spanish conquest of Mexico and became an important ship-building port during the colonial period. The name of the town comes from the Manzanillo tree, which provided essential raw materials for building ocean-going ships. Today the town is Mexico's busiest port and a popular tourist destination.
