Assiniboine Hunting Buffalo

Paul Kane's painting (circa 1851-1856) depicts two Plains Native Americans on horseback hunting a buffalo. The introduction of horses by Spanish settlers changed the way Plains Indians lived. For example hunting improved since Plains Native Americans were able to overtake buffalo by speed.
