Thick grasses dominate a hillside. The grass is growing in clumps at an approximate height of eighteen inches.

Páramo is the geographic term for the area between the uppermost treeline and the year-round snow line. It is found only in high elevations and is usually covered in thick, hardy grasses. The majority of páramo found in the world is in Colombia.
