Porter hauling timber

On the trail between Tukche to Kaagbeni, Nepal, a man carrying a long timber on his back pauses to rest his load on a small rock. Transporting goods across mountainous terrain on one's back is hard work and a common practice in much of Nepal. It is not unusual for a porter to carry loads weighing more than 100 pounds mile after arduous mile over steep Himalaya terrain.
