Portrait of small girl holding colorful plaited tubes at Angkor

A small girl at Angkor shyly holds several colorful plaited tubes against the left side of her head using her right hand. These kinds of fiber containers, usually woven from local palm leaves dyed with synthetic aniline dyes, often are used to hold cooked, rice-based sweet snacks. The small girl, wearing a white blouse trimmed with lace, may be selling these handicrafts or snacks to visitors at the Angkor temple site.
