Priests ride ornate float to cremation grounds for high-status funeral on July 23, 1986

A group of Brahman priests dressed in black or white stand in an ornate float riding to the cremation grounds for a high-status funeral held on July 23, 1986. The rectangular roofed float, painted in vibrant red and gold, is decorated around the outside walls with sculpted images of Balinese Hindu deities. Crowds of people attending the cremation stand to watch the priests and their carriers pass.
