Woman crossing a stone bridge

Woman crossing a stone bridge

A young woman in a sari crosses a stone bridge built across an irrigation canal. In Nepal, fetching water from public springs and water taps is typically a job done by women. In the mountains this often involves a long walk uphill and back. The boughs of a nearby bir tree cast shadows on the bridge and the canal.
