Hollybush

community in W Cleveland County served by post office, 1875-1905. Also spelled Holly Bush.

Hollyville

town in NE Pamlico County adjoining Vandemere. Inc. 1907, but long inactive in municipal affairs. Named for local holly trees. Known more recently as Cash Corner. See also Cash Corner No. 2.

Hollywood

community in central Carteret County served by post office, 1874-1915.

Hollywood Ridge

community in N central Caldwell County on a ridge parallel to and S of Yadkin River.

Holman

community in W Davie County near the headwaters of Bear Creek. Settled about 1786 and named for Holman family.

Holmans Mills

community in S Alamance County served by post office, 1878-1908.

Holmes Point

on the W side of New River in central Onslow County. Formerly known as Little Ragged Point.

Holsclaw's Creek

rises in E Caldwell County and flows E into Duck Creek.

Holt Knob

SE Macon County between Monger Creek and Mill Creek.

Holt Lake

central Johnston County on Black Creek. Original dam constructed prior to 1911; present dam, downstream from first, built in early 1920s. Covers approx. 400 acres; max. depth 25 ft.
