Carroll Branch

rises in W Clay County on the E slope of Carroll Knob and flows S into Carroll Lake near lat. 35°03'45" N., long. 83°54'53" W., in Nantahala National Forest.

Carroll Gap

E Watauga County on the head of Long Branch.

Carroll Knob

on the Cherokee-Clay county line at the SW end of Valley River Mountains, Nantahala National Forest. Alt. 2,540.

Carroll Lake

a spring-fed lake in W Clay County, N of Hiwassee River, formed about 1920. Covers 30 acres; max. depth 20 ft. Privately owned. Named for John C. Carroll, first owner.

NE Greene County. Named for the Carr family, prominent in the area from a time prior to 1804.
